Article Generation
Generate complete, SEO-optimized articles in minutes using AI that analyzes your content brief and competitive research.
How Article Generation Works
Our AI reads your content brief, analyzes top-ranking competitors, and writes a complete article following your outline and targeting your keywords. Choose from multiple AI models (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) and add images, videos, and links automatically.
⏱️ Estimated Time: 3 minutes
📋 Prerequisites:
- A content plan with at least one content brief created
- At least 1 content generation credit in your quota
- Content brief reviewed and ready for generation
Step 1: Navigate to Content Generation
From your dashboard, click "Content Generation" in the sidebar. You'll see all your content briefs organized by content plan.

Find the article you want to generate. You can filter by content plan using the dropdown at the top.
Step 2: Review the Content Brief (Optional)
Before generating, you may want to review or edit the content brief. Click the "Edit" button (three dots menu) next to any article.
The content brief shows:
- Target Keywords: Primary and secondary keywords for SEO
- Article Outline: Suggested heading structure
- Word Count Target: Recommended length based on competitors
- Tone & Style: Writing style (professional, friendly, etc.)
- Content Gaps: Topics competitors missed that you should cover

💡 PRO TIP: The content brief guides the AI. If you want specific points covered or a particular style, edit the outline and add notes before generating.
Step 3: Generate Your Article
When you're ready to generate, click the "Generate" button next to the article.

The system will check your quota and start the generation process immediately. You'll see a progress indicator showing the current step.
ℹ️ NOTE: Article generation typically takes 2-5 minutes depending on word count and enrichment options. You can close the tab or navigate away - generation continues in the background.
Step 4: Watch the Generation Progress
Our AI follows a multi-step process to create high-quality articles:
1. Initializing (5%)
Loading your content brief and competitor research data.
2. Generating Article (30-80%)
Writing the article following your outline, targeting your keywords, and using the specified tone. This is the longest step.
3. Saving Content (80-85%)
Saving the generated article to your database and linking it to your content plan.
4. Enriching Content (85-100%)
Adding images, YouTube videos, external links, and other enhancements based on your brief settings.

💡 PRO TIP: Longer articles (2000+ words) or those with many enrichments (images, videos) will take longer to generate. The progress bar gives you an accurate estimate.
Step 5: View Your Generated Article
Once generation completes, the status changes to "Generated". Click the "View" or "Edit Article" button to open your article.

The article viewer shows:
- Full Article Content: All sections with headings and paragraphs
- Word Count: Actual vs. target word count
- Images & Media: Suggested images and YouTube embeds
- External Links: Authoritative sources cited
- Internal Links: Links to your other content
- SEO Metadata: Title, slug, keywords used
Step 6: Edit Your Article (Optional)
Click the "Edit" button to make changes to your article. You can:
- Edit Any Section: Click a section to edit its heading or content
- Add Sections: Insert new sections anywhere in the article
- Remove Sections: Delete sections you don't need
- Reorder Sections: Drag sections to rearrange them
- Update Title & Slug: Change the article title or URL slug
- Modify Media: Change images or add/remove YouTube videos

ℹ️ NOTE: All changes are saved automatically as you type. You don't need to click a Save button - just edit and close when done.
Step 7: Publish to Your Website
Once you're happy with your article, publish it directly to your website. From the article viewer, click the platform button where you want to publish:
- WordPress: Publishes as draft or live post
- Wix: Creates blog post in your Wix site
- Shopify: Adds to your Shopify blog
- Blogger: Publishes to your Blogger account
- Social Media: Share to LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook

💡 PRO TIP: For WordPress, you can choose to publish as Draft, Pending Review, or Publish Live. This gives you control over your content approval workflow.
After publishing, the article status updates to show which platforms it's posted on. You'll also see a link to view the published article on your website.
