Step 5: Create Your First Project

Projects help you organize content by website, client, or campaign. Think of a project as a folder that contains all your research, articles, and publishing settings for one specific website.

Fill in the following information:

  • Project Name: Give your project a clear name (e.g., "Main Website", "Client: ABC Corp", "Holiday Campaign")
  • Description: Briefly describe what this project is for
  • Company Name: The business this content is for
  • Website URL: The website where you'll publish content
  • Industry: Select the relevant industry (helps with keyword research)
  • Author Information: Optional contact details for article bylines

💡 PRO TIP: If you work with multiple clients or websites, create a separate project for each one. This keeps your content, keywords, and analytics organized.

Click "Create Project". The system will automatically:

  1. Set this project as your active project
  2. Initialize your onboarding checklist
  3. Redirect you to connect your publishing platforms

Step 6: Connect Your Website

  • WordPress - Both self-hosted and WordPress.com
  • Wix - Connect via API key
  • Shopify - Great for product descriptions and blog posts
  • Blogger - Google's blogging platform
  • Ghost - Modern publishing platform

Social Media Platforms:

  • LinkedIn - Publish professional content to LinkedIn
  • Twitter/X - Share posts and updates on X (formerly Twitter)

ℹ️ NOTE: You can skip this step and connect platforms later. However, connecting your main website now allows you to publish articles with one click once they're ready.

For step-by-step instructions on connecting WordPress and other platforms, see the Platform Integrations guide.

Step 7: Explore Your Dashboard

Click the "Dashboard" menu item to see your main workspace. Your dashboard shows:

  • Recent Content: Your latest articles and drafts

💡 PRO TIP: Use the project dropdown at the top of the sidebar to switch between different projects quickly. Your dashboard will update to show content for the selected project.

Step 8: Understanding Your Quotas

The sidebar shows your usage quotas in real-time. These limits depend on your plan:

  • SEO Research: Number of keyword research reports you can run
  • Content Generation: Number of AI articles you can create
  • Integration Quota: Number of articles you can auto-publish per month
  • Projects: Maximum number of projects you can create
  • Team Members: How many people can join your workspace
